And I say that as someone who got further last year than I would have if there had been 3 or 5 game series.
The Salem Salem Warlochs somehow beat three amazing teams to make it to the world playoffs and last logged in 1 month ago with a roster that is pretty terrible.

My biggest problem with the game in this regard isn't the rate of 'upsets' (which they aren't, just variance), it's that the playoffs are 1 game elimination series except for the final game

Any team can lose to any other in a one game series. I lost to a bunch of inferior teams midway through the season. It's baseball. The Dodgers don't always beat the Padres. And the teams in the playoffs are hardly the Padres (the real ones)
