Today's player of the game has to be Ross Funk, who went 5-for-6 and hit the solo home run that put the Gades on top for good in the 10th inning.
So after all is said and done, Almonte collects the win, Fierro the unlucky man who was last to leave the bullpen for Eugene.
After allowing a leadoff double, Almonte shook off the jitters and found the ice in his veins to close it out and give the Renegades an 18-15 win to put them up 2-0 in the series.
